The asset manager company Principal Global Investors, one of the top 50 in the world with more than USD 540 Bn in AUM, has published a report about the potential of long-term European real estate funds (LIRE). This is an asset adequate for institutional investors such as pension plans, which need to meet the liquidity demands of their investors, and find difficulties to generate stable income from the public and corporate debt in its portfolios. LIREs provide secure and stable income streams, higher yields than risk-free assets, and tangible assets.
